Case Study: Inter-City Group Logistics—Supporting the Wesley Girls’ High School 188th Anniversary Celebration
Project Overview
In February 2025, Wesley Girls’ High School, one of Ghana’s most prestigious educational institutions hosted their historic 188th Anniversary Speech and Prize Giving Day Celebration. Caradise Ghana was commissioned to manage the comprehensive transport logistics for the 1983 Year Group, affectionately known as the 'Divas'. The mission required a 3-day seamless transport solution covering the 150km corridor between Accra and Cape Coast, ensuring the alumni arrived in comfort and style for the festivities.
The Challenge: Balancing Scale with Group Cohesion
Coordinating transportation of over 70 high-profile alumni aged between 64 and 66 presents unique logistical and social requirements:
The Inter-City Transit: Navigating the Accra-to-Cape Coast highway requires "road wisdom" to manage traffic patterns and ensure a punctual arrival for the main event on Saturday.
Social Connectivity: The alumni required an environment that prioritized reconnection. The transport solution needed to offer more than just seats; it needed to serve as a mobile venue for classmates to share memories and prepare for anniversary presentations.
Multi-Day Reliability: The schedule spanned three days, requiring dedicated chauffeurs and a fleet capable of high-performance long-distance travel without technical failure.
The Operational Strategy: A Multi-Tiered Fleet Solution
Caradise Ghana’s operations team deployed a tailored fleet strategy to meet the diverse needs of the 'Divas':
The KIA Granbird (High-Capacity Coach): For the primary journey from Accra, the KIA Granbird was deployed. Its spacious, coach-style configuration provided the luxury and luggage capacity necessary for a large group of executive alumni.
The Toyota Coaster (Mid-Size Intimacy): To facilitate more intimate group interactions and local movements within Cape Coast, the Toyota Coaster was utilized. This vehicle provided the perfect balance of comfort and maneuverability for shuttling between the school and alumni events.
Chauffeur Hospitality: Drivers were selected for their specific experience in "hospitality" and "patience," traits essential for managing high-profile alumni groups during multi-day celebrations.
The Execution: 3 Days of Seamless Mobility
The project resulted in 100% operational success:
Punctual Arrivals: Despite the heavy traffic typically associated with major Cape Coast events, the 'Divas' were transported with "time consciousness," ensuring they were seated before the commencement of the Speech and Prize Giving ceremonies.
Connectivity and Comfort: All vehicles were fully air-conditioned and equipped with free in-vehicle Wi-Fi, allowing the alumni to stay connected and share live updates of the anniversary celebrations with their global network.
Enhanced Group Morale: The transition from the large coach to the intimate Coaster bus allowed the 1983 year group to maintain their energy and cohesion throughout the intense 72-hour itinerary.
